"The first parachute exercise in the Middle-East since the Germany war ended. Took place at Cyprus, and was made by the "D" Coy of the 9th Para Bn with a signal det. The scheme was advertised in the Cyprian press for 3 weeks prior to the event with the result that hundreds of spectators abounded the "D.Z.""
