Five of the six men who were granted 48 hours leave in Paris on the 11th March 1945, from the 6th Airborne Divisional Ordnance Field Park base at Troisvaux. Robert Parnell is first from the right. His son suggests that if this photograph was taken in Paris, the reason why they are all looking so glum might well be because they had hangovers; certainly his father confirmed that they quickly ran out of money.
