The following is a transcript of the journal that Staff-Sergeant Bailey kept during his time as a prisoner of war, complete with additional notes from his daughter, Diana Thomas. When he was released from captivity, he weighed only 79 pounds. Eugene Bailey died on the 19th July 1979.
