No change in the general description of the camp.

2068 Indian prisoners of war depend on this Zweiglager of whom 1240 men work on 84 different Kommandos. Lately 2394 Indians have passed this camp on the way from Italy. The men are engaged on gardening, farming, town-work, blacksmiths, carpenters, builders and similar jobs.

Interior arrangements are at present satisfactory, as well as the bathing and washing facilities and the latrines.

The cooking is done by the men themselves and is stated to be satisfactory.

The clothing position is in order and the laundry question too. Every man has three blankets, but some of the blankets are rather small and thin.

There are two Indian Medical Officers in camp.

Pay is correct. When the men start to work at a work camp they earn 40 Rpfg. a day for the first 3 months. After 3 months the pay is increased to 70 Rpfg. a day. The canteen is very poorly stocked.

        No complaints about religious affairs.

For physical exercises the men have at their disposal a large court-yard where they can walk and play games.

Mail is stated to be fairly regular. About 5% of the men have not received any mail so far.

With the exception of one lecture given by the pro-axis Indian propaganda man Bose some time ago, which all prisoners had to attend by order, no political propaganda has been reported.
