Prisoner of War Questionnaires

        Unit: 1st Airborne Divisional Light Regiment, R.A.

        Captured: Holland, 18th September 1944.

        Camps: Stalag IVD (November 1944 to April 1945)

        Work Camps: Halle (Building air raid shelters, November 1944 to April 1945).

        Interrogation: Yes at Limburg (XIIA) in September 1944. By asking what work I had done. If I should like a good job, and as to what was happening in London about this time.

        Escapes: Yes, myself and six pals, we were absent three days making our way to Kassel, we were pick[ed] up by the Jerry Air Force, we were threaten[ed] but later returned to our Stalag. We moved at night only.
