Service No. : PO/X 100345
Awards : Military Medal
TSM Clark was awarded the Military Medal for actions that took place before the 4th Special Service Brigade was attached to the 6th Airborne Division.
June 6th 1944, St Aubin. Assisted Lieutenant Mackenzie to rally A Troop on the beach under fire in very trying circumstances, when he showed high qualities of leadership, calmness and determination. He was always well forward in the street fighting in Langrune in the last stages of which he handled the 2 inch mortar team under fire with disregard for his own safety. He gave the troop a fine example throughout the action.
Thomas Clark passed away at his home in Spain on the 24th January 2015, aged 95.
