This NCO was dropped about 30 miles from the correct spot with several other members of his stick. He led his stick through enemy territory and brought them all back safely to our lines. During the journey he ambushed and killed 17 German Staff Officers. By his actions he showed that his only thought was for the men under him and that he had no consideration of his own safety thereby displaying outstanding devotion to duty.
