Henry Robert Barnes

Henry Robert "Bobby" Barnes (left), at the time of his parachute training in 1943. Subsequently posted to the 6th Airborne Division, unit unknown, he once acted as a driver to Lieutenant-General Browning in Cornwall, and went on to serve in Normandy and Belgium. Barnes was demobbed in 1945, and passed away in 1978, aged 63. Copyright: Dave Livermore.
