Brigadier Nigel Poett

Nigel Poett (far right) with Brigadier Hugh Kindersley (second from right), after completing a training jump at Ringway in 1943. Kindersley commanded the 6th Airlanding Brigade, and although not required to train as a paratrooper, did so nevertheless. Both men wore life jackets as, to reduce any chance of injury to Kindersley, they parachuted into water. Standing on the extreme left is the Senior Instructor, and next to him is Group Captain Newnham. Copyright: Nigel Poett.
