Emile Kerkhoven

Emile R. Kerkhoven of the Dutch Resistance. Using the pseudonym of  "Private Eric Wilson", he was badly wounded at Rijksweg, near Ede, on the 21st November 1944, whilst acting as a guide for the ill-fated Operation Pegasus II; the second attempt to evacuate 1st Airborne Division evaders to the Allied lines. He died three days later in a German field hospital at Hoenderlo, aged 21. Thanks to Aart van Uden.
