Major Johnny Dodge recaptured and escorted away by a large guard after jumping from a freight train. A persistent escaper, he was involved with the Great Escape and was recaptured once more, but this time handed over to the Gestapo. However he was not murdered like so many other of his co-escapers, but was instead sent to Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp, where he remained until January 1945. He was related to Winston Churchill and was selected to return to England to hand a letter to the British Prime Minister, requesting that the forces of the West unite with Germany to defeat the Soviet threat.
