Regt relieved of its commitments of the def. of CAEN by 109 HAA Regt. and moved to harbour as follows:- 168 harboured at BEAUVILLE, 169 harboured at BLAINVILLE, 206 harboured N.W. BENOUVILLE. RHQ deployed in two sections Rear HQ at Beauville, Regt. Comd Post at BENOUVILLE. Regt ceased to be under comd. 100 AA Bde and came under comd. 1 CORPS in support 6 A/Borne Div.
13th August 1944
All Radar Eqpt. and personnel moved to area LA MARE to carry out maintenance and trg whilst Regt. in gd. role. Lt. Teverson called in from 206 Bty to act as Regt. Sigs Officer.
16th August 1944
Bde. Comd 74 AA Bde. visited unit. Regtl. reps. were sent to 150 and 191 Field Regts and 53 Lt A.A. Regt. and inf. whom Regt was supporting.
17th August 1944
169 Bty advanced to HERONVILLE and 168 Bty to GRANVILLE E of the River ORNE.
19th August 1944
Enemy withdrawing speedily and 168 and 169 advanced to TROARN whilst 206 Bty adv. to BOIS de BURES (1570).
21st August 1944
Enemy still in retreat 168 and 169 and 206 Btys adv across River DIVES to deploy in area GOUSTRANVILLE.
22nd August 1944
With enemy still rapidly getting 'out of range' Regt had to move to deploy in area BRANVILLE.
23rd August 1944
A further move saw 168 Bty at BEAUMONT Sur AUGE 169 Bty at GLANVILLE 206 Bty at LAVALEE.
24th August 1944
169 Bty adv to DREUX to within range of enemy.
25th August 1944
Enemy still retreating. 168 Bty advance to QUETTEVILLE. 169 at ST BENOIT D'HEBERTOT 206 in area East St BENOIT D'HEBERTOT. Capt. O'MEARA M. (231880) C.F. att to this unit to replace Capt. F.J. Higgins C.F. who was att to 24 CCS on 26 Jul. 44.
26th August 1944
Ceased to be in support 6 Airborne Div., who were withdrawn from the line (order of the Day att. as App. A). Unit remained under comd. 1 Corps. Regt. expended 2450 rds in ground role.
29th August 1944
Regt. ceased to be under comd. 1 Corps as from 1200 hrs and reverted to be under comd. 74 AA Bde.
