Captain P. J. A. Shelley

Captain Shelley of the Royal Ulster Rifles, commander of the Divisional Headquarters Defence Platoon. He flew to Normandy in a Horsa glider, but was wounded in the left leg during June 1944. The letter enclosed below was sent to Captain Shelley from Major-General Gale in January 1944.
