A poetically blunt document which was uncovered in No.34 Pietersbergseweg when it was being rebuilt in later years. It records the number of Germans killed or wounded on a daily basis. "Nothing" is indicated for the 21st to the 23rd September, six on the 24th, and ten on the 25th, each represented by a swastika. All the kills have been attributed to Private Tony Crane, a sniper in No.2 Platoon, 21st Independent Parachute Company. Copyright: Johan van Pelt.
